Grow Your Own

“Eat Y’self Fitter” – Mark E. Smith

I first fell in love with growing our own food when we had our (much missed!) allotment near our house in Teddington. Moving North meant a bigger space and a chance to grow fruit, salads and veg in our own garden.

There really is nothing more rewarding than going to pick lettuce, beans or peas for a light summer meal, or picking late harvest vegetables for a warming dinner. Fruit can be plentiful – and best eaten fresh, jammed and or steeped in gin (hello damsons!).

It’s fresher, healthier, greener and much more fun than even the best farmer’s market – and it doesn’t need to look like your old grandpa’s veg patch.

Grow Your Own Lessons

I can help you design, plan and plant your own plot. Lessons are inspired as much by French potagers as they are by our long lost allotment.

These sessions are a combination of practical advice and consultancy. The first session is two hours, at £80 and subsequent sessions are £40 an hour.
